The beginning......
After stepping off the plane from a 24 hour flight, we walked in to what would be a whirlwind 2 weeks and possibly the most stressful time EVER!!!......
........we purchased the family home that I grew up in from my dad 12 months ago. I love this house, but realisticly, the area is fast changing, its quite a high maintenance house and block, which neither me or my partner have the time, or can be bothered with, and I always felt like it was still mum and dads house, not "our" house. A developer approached us, as with a dozen other houses in the street. We took their offer, and within the week of arriving home we had signed on the dotted line. SOLD.
It felt like my brain was looking for houses 24 hours a day for that whole week trying to work out what we would do, where would we buy. We like Berwick but everything in our price range would have needed work, or I just hated the layouts or it wasn't near anything. That weekend we drove around, and around until out 10 month old cracked it so we popped in to some display homes in Officer just for a look. No intention on building, I never wanted to build, ever.
After walking through a few of them we got to Carlisle homes. As soon as we walked in to the Sacramento, I fell in love with it. The layout is EXACTLY what I wanted. Exactly. Perfect. We ended up back there the next day and all of a sudden we were sitting down with the sales guy, he gave us a few blocks to have a look at, and then the next thing we knew we had handed over a deposit for a 576m block in Clyde North, Villawood Delaray. OH MY GOSH!!!!! for someone who cant even decided what to eat for dinner or what to wear, we had just made the biggest decisions in our life in a matter of days.
And so the building process begins.......
